YouKom is a small business founded by me, Georg Pahlen, in 2021.

YouKom was created while collecting ideas with me and my father. YouKom is supposed to have two meanings: your computer and your communication

The actual, full name is YouKom Computer - Georg Pahlen. This long designation is related to the German designation regulation for small businesses (§ 19 UStG):
- An optional fantasy name (YouKom)
- Any description of the job or the business topic (Computer)
- as well as the owner of the small business (Georg Pahlen). This is necessary if there is no entry in the german commercial register that is not necessary for small businesses, e.g. to conduct correspondence with the relevant person.

I started this company because after several years in a similar company I did the same and now wanted to take matters into my own hands. Many customers and recommendations who were happy with me brought this decision to the fore. I really enjoy dealing directly with customers. Solving problems quickly is also a constant challenge, which brings me joy every time.

My philosophy is based on minimalism, clean and efficient work. I would like to show you this using my website. Many modern Internet sites today use cookies, JavaScript, and other extensions that are designed to improve the user experience. Unfortunately, these pages with all the extensions are very computationally intensive or proprietary. With proprietary programs or extensions in particular, you can never know what the developer is hiding behind them. Furthermore, many website operators use WordPress or Joomla instead of "direct programming" of their website. Of course, this simplifies programming immensely. This "modular" Internet page programming is immensely bloated and often associated with telemetry. I do without these techniques and rely on classic HTML, PHP and CSS. This makes my website all the more performant, which allows it to be displayed quickly and easily even on weaker devices. In addition, I can assure you that no telemetry and no cookies are installed (with the exception of the internal programs, to which you have no direct access and have no reference). At least part of this can be examined with your Internet browser, regardless of whether it is Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome / Chromium, Edge or another. You can usually do this with the key combination STRG or CTRL (bottom left on your keyboard) and U.

But not only my websites follow this philosophy. My programs and software tools are also based on exactly this principle. In the same way, however, you are allowed to "look over my shoulder" permanently during my work. And you are welcome to have a say at any time. Because at the end of the day your wish is my command!
